1. About Espallo
Espallo is an administrative service bureau that helps customers prepare and submit applications for a Spanish NIE number (Número de Identificación de Extranjero).
Important: Espallo not a law firm and is not registered as a legal practice. We do not provide legal advice. Our service consists solely of administrative assistance and putting you in contact with independent partner lawyers and notaries in Spain.
2. Our service
The service fee of 195 EUR (excl. VAT) includes:
- Digital completion of the EX-18 application form
- Digital signing of the power-of-attorney document
- Automatic generation and storage of application documents
- Coordination and handoff to a partner lawyer or notary in Spain
- Ongoing status updates via the customer platform
- Customer support
Not included: Lawyer, notary, and government fees in Spain are paid directly by the customer to the relevant partner. These fees vary and are agreed directly with the lawyer/notary.
3. Partner lawyers and notaries
The lawyers and notaries we work with in Spain are independent professionals, registered and authorized under Spanish law. They enter into a direct legal relationship with the customer and are responsible for the legal handling of the application.
Espallo is not a party to the agreement between the customer and the lawyer/notary and is not liable for their actions, advice, or errors.
4. No guarantee of approval
We cannot guarantee that a NIE application will be approved by the Spanish authorities. The decision is made solely by the relevant Spanish authorities (Policía Nacional or the Spanish embassy). Our service fee is not refunded if an application is rejected by the authorities, since our service (administrative assistance and coordination) has been fully delivered.
5. Payment and VAT
The service fee is 195 EUR excl. VAT. Danish VAT (25%) is added for customers residing in Denmark, unless the customer is a business with a valid VAT registration number. Payment is processed securely via our payment platform.
6. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases under Danish consumer contracts law. Since our service begins immediately upon payment and at your express request, by placing an order you accept that the right of withdrawal lapses once we have begun processing your application.
If processing has not begun, you can withdraw within 14 days and receive a full refund. Contact us at info@espallo.com.
7. Limitation of liability
Espallo is not liable for delays or rejections caused by Spanish authorities, partner lawyers/notaries, incorrect information provided by the customer, or circumstances beyond our control. In any event, our liability is limited to the service fee paid.
8. Complaints
Complaints can be directed to info@espallo.com. Consumers can also bring the matter before the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet, Nævnenes Hus), Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, www.naevneneshus.dk.
9. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled in the Danish courts, with the Copenhagen City Court (Københavns Byret) as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
